How do I get to Nekkies by car?

From Cape Town follow the N1 to Paarl, continue until you reach the toll plaza by Du Toit’s Kloof tunnel. Drive through the tunnel or take the R101. There are two routes to follow after this point: you can either turn right onto the R101 towards Rawsonville, take Van Riebeeck Street and Rawsonville Road for 12km. Or turn right into Worcester town on the R43 down to Rawsonville Road towards the Worcester Yacht Club.

From Winelands area take the N1, R101 or R43 into Worcester town down to Rawsonville Road towards the Worcester Yacht Club.

From Helderberg follow the N2, R321 and R42 Northbound via Villiersdorp and turn left onto Rawsonville Road towards the Worcester Yacht Club.

From Overberg follow the R43 or R60 into Worcester, turn left onto Rawsonville Road.

What is the festival about, what can I expect?

The idea for the Symmetry Music Festival was born out of a love for music and a desire to bring people together. The festival takes place on the weekend of the last supermoon of 2025 which will appear larger and brighter, due to its closest approach, lighting up the summer sky. Attendees can expect a weekend of local and international DJs with Friday and Sunday featuring an amazing female line up on both stages, incredible entertainers, camping, games, competitions, give-aways, swimming, market, food trucks, spa, chill zones and light shows, neon body art, pool bar, beer tent with big screen not to miss the rugby, bubbles and wine bar, and our tiki bar for a few full moon buckets! and loads more surprises… to guarantee an unforgettable experience!

What times will the artists perform?

Friday – 16:00 to 02:00 / Saturday – 12:00 to 02:00 / Sunday – 11:00 to 15:00

Can I buy a one-day pass?

Only weekend tickets can be purchased, there are no tickets for individual days.

What services will be available at the festival?

Experienced event security, Howler access staff and wristband collection, campsite staff, market, waste management, hot showers, bathroom attendants and 24/7 cleaners, extra toilets in remote spaces (no porta pottys), lost and found, information, medics and ambulances, Symmetry stewards, water refill stations, WIFI access in the area, and lifeguards.

How many people will be attending?

The maximum capacity at the venue is 5,500 people.

Can I braai, and bring my own food?

Unfortunately, no fires are allowed. No food is allowed into the venue. There are various food trucks with delicious options and snacks to pick from, and a tuck shop. Card machines are available throughout the venue.

Can I bring my own alcohol?

Yes, but you must decanter into a plastic container prior to arrival (strictly no glass allowed) and drink it in the camping areas, not in the festival area. Security reserves the right to confiscate any liquids in glass bottles and glasses. Beers and ciders are not allowed into the venue. You may bring your own water and soft drinks. Free drinking water is available.

Is there WIFI at the venue?

Yes, WIFI access is available in the area.

Which items are prohibited?

Sharp or pointed metal objects that can reasonably be considered to be a dangerous weapon; firearms and ammunition, pocket-knives, air-guns, cross-bows, pepper spray, tear gas, mace, or airborne chemical agent.

No Illegal/illicit substances, drugs, drug paraphernalia, or other mind-altering substances; hookah/Shisha;

No animals allowed, including service/guide dogs;

No gas cookers, no fires or braais allowed in standard camping; if you are vehicle camping and you have a built-in cooker, you must show security that you have a fire blanket and a fire extinguisher.

No harmful chemicals, explosives or toxic substances, flammable items or liquids, aerosols, fireworks or sparklers, and sky lanterns;

No outside food;

Strictly no glass allowed. No beers and ciders allowed. Decanter alcohol into plastic containers, plastic bottled water and soft drinks are allowed;

No balloons, streamers and confetti;

No motorized vehicles, skates, rollerblades, bicycles, skateboards, scooters, etc.;

No professional cameras, video and audio recording equipment, tripods, totems, camera poles, drones; independent sounds systems, lighting devices and lasers;

No beach umbrellas and parasols.

Which items are acceptable?

Camera phone, disposable/compact photo cameras, GoPro;

Power banks; portable cell charger;

Sunglasses, hats, caps;

Hand umbrellas;

Hand fan (paper and electronic);

Deodorant, sunscreen, spritzers/misting spray, cosmetics, hand-sanitizer (ideally no wipes if possible);

Moon bags, sling bags, backpacks and handbags;

Illuminated neon, or glow jewellery, your wild and crazy costumes;

‘Selfie-sticks’ (max 1m in length);

Tents, 3m x 3m gazebos, camp chairs, inflatable chairs, blankets, sleeping bags, your tent décor;

Torch, headlamp;

Swimming attire, towels, inflatables;

Warm clothes, comfortable shoes;

Earplugs;

Cooler box – only allowed in camping areas;

Decanter alcohol into plastic containers, plastic bottled water and soft drinks are allowed;

Flags and banners.

Do I need my ID card to enter?

Yes, your photo ID card is required at all access points and at security checks throughout the venue.

What forms of ID are acceptable and unacceptable?

Acceptable forms of ID for entry:

– SA ID book or card
– SA Driver’s Licence
– SA Passport
– Passport of foreign national with ID photo

Unacceptable forms of ID:
– Student Cards
– Birth Certificates
– Learner’s Licence
– Photocopies of ID documents

If I leave, can I re-enter?

You may leave the venue and re-enter, you will be checked-out when exiting the venue. Security reserves the right to remove your wristband when you exit.

If you are in vehicle camping, we ask to notify security an hour prior to leaving. If you enter after 00:00 you will be directed to a designated area, until 08:00 when you can move to the vehicle camping area.

Before re-entry into the venue area and festival grounds, ticket holders will go through strict security checks again.

Is parking available?

Yes, free parking and disabled parking is available. We encourage ticketholders to ride share, or come by taxi/bus.

What facilities are available at the camp sites?

Each ticket includes a 3m x 3m camping spot, each camping spot accommodates up to 4 people. Electricity is not available in the camping areas. Secure and free charge points will be available. There are 3 camping zones: Bush Camp, River Camp and Pool Camp. For attendee safety, vehicles are not allowed in the standard camping areas, no drop-offs. The campsites are all on grass with ablution facilities nearby. The Pool Camp has a 600m² sparkling swimming pool and a pool bar. Vehicle/caravan/campervan camping is available at an additional R500 per vehicle for a 5m x 6m space, available to purchase via Howler. Only vehicles that get a vehicle camping pass upon entry, may enter the vehicle camping area. Camping spaces are first-come, first-served, please follow the direction of campsite staff, we have allocated areas for walkways, toilets and free shower facilities. Staff will be on hand to assist in setting up tents if required. The venue and organiser do not provide tents or glamping. Security is provided in the camping areas, but we take no responsibility for items stolen. Remember to bring your tent lock.

Can I get a refund?

We do not provide any refunds, you may transfer your ticket to someone else via your Howler profile.

Can I dress up?

Yes you can! Attendees are encouraged to dress up.

What is the Symmetry Green Festival Initiative?

When booking a ticket, we ask that attendees pledge to participate in our festival, leaving a positive impact on our home and join us on our journey towards a green sustainable event and follow our commitment to an environmentally friendly festival.

Please consider planning ahead and bringing a wheelchair or other aids. The event does not provide wheelchair rentals or motorised transportation.

Do you have a lost and found service?

We have designated Lost & Found located by the VOC Office, where attendees can hand in items found or make enquiries about anything lost. We have sufficient secure storage to safeguard valuable items. We log all items that are handed in by taking a photo of the item, logging full details of the item, the time and place.

We advise attendees to lock their phones and ensure passwords aren’t automatically saved.

If you have misplaced anything, you can check our Lost & Found Catalogue on our website after the festival. If the item is not on the list, we accept applications for lost property, email info (@) symmetryeventsandfestivals.com to make an application for lost property, including the item brand, codes, passwords, full description, details of where and when the items were last seen.

Items without an ID will be held for 30 consecutive days after the festival, after that the item will be donated to a charity of our choosing, this includes glasses, bags, jewellery, watches and clothes. For more valuable property like mobile phones, cameras, bank cards, passports, wallets and driving licences they may be held for up to 90 consecutive days, before being handed to the police or securely destroyed.

Once the item has been handed over to its owner, the ID and contact details of the owner is required to close out the item on our system.

We encourage our attendees to adopt our honesty policy when finding items.  

How do I apply to become a vendor?

At present we are not accepting applications. We will make an announcement on our social media platforms if this changes.
